Registration Information for West Virginia

Voter registration can be completed via mail, post office, or online. Physical voting locations are open from 6:30 am until 7:30 pm on election days. If registered voters cannot vote on election days, they can do so within a 10 day "early voting" period, stretching from 13 days to 3 days before each election. To register to vote, you must be a USA citizen, be 18 or older effectively, and reside within West Virginia. In terms of documentation for registration, you need the last four numbers of your SSN, or your Driver's License Number, or your West Virginia State ID Number. Voter ID is a requirement in order to cast your vote in person; a wide variety of potential documents can be utilized however, ranging from bank statements to utility bills. You cannot vote in West Virginia if you have a felony conviction, or have been judged as "mentally incompetent" by a court.
