You can register to vote by mail or in person at your local elections office as well. The requirements to vote in North Carolina are as follows: You must be a U.S. citizen, and a resident of North Carolina for at least 30 days in the precinct that you wish to vote. You can vote early in North Carolina in the form of a one-stop absentee vote through your county board of elections office. Absentee voting can start on the second Thursday before the election, and is available until 1:00 p.m. on the last Sunday before Election Day. What else you should know: If you are 17 years old, you can vote as long as you can provide proof that you will be 18 by the next general election. |
