New HampshireRegistration Information for New HampshireIn New Hampsire, you must register to vote or update your voter registration in person at your local clerk office, the office of your local Supervisor of the Checklist, or at a polling location on Election Day. You may register to vote or update your voter registration by mail only if absent or otherwise unable to visit the clerk's office (and affidavit along with ID verification will be required). Polling locations will be open from 7am to 7pm on Election Day. An absentee ballot may be submitted 30 days before an election and up to 5pm on Election Day by a specified family member (spouse, sibling, or child), and must be submitted in person to your local clerk's office. A voter may qualify as an absentee voter if you are not in state on Election Day, or if you are unable to vote in person due to physical disability, employment (including child and adult home care) obligations, or religious commitments. You must be a U.S. citizen, 18 years or older, residing in New Hampsire to be eligible to vote. You must be able to show evidence of age, citizenship, and residence. Forms of identification include valid vehicle registration, certificate of vehicle ownership, valid student ID, non-driver's ID, ID issued by another state, military ID, federal issued ID, driver's liscence (U.S. only), U.S. passport, birth certificate, and/or a signed Challenged Voter Registration affidavit.
